Ophie’s passion for architecture was sparked in the early 90s when her father renovated their home, transforming it into a spacious living area. Inspired, she began sketching floor plans and joined art clubs at Ateneo de Davao University to hone her skills.

Her parents also introduced her to business at a young age, when she and her siblings helped manage the family’s small store in Davao City, learning valuable lessons in entrepreneurship.

Ophie pursued her dream by studying architecture at the University of Santo Tomas. After graduating in 2004, she joined Palafox Associates, contributing to local and international projects. She later returned to Davao City to work in construction and project management, gaining further experience.

In 2010, Ophie co-founded O+M Babista Architectural Design with her sister. Two years later, she and her father established Babista Manzano Realty and Development Corporation, focusing on developing their family’s properties. Her success in these ventures led to a partnership with her Manila-based colleagues.
